Registration Nights   (Board)

Held on Monday, February 12th and Thursday, February, 15th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
John will bring registration forms and Jan will bring sponsor forms.

Opening Day   (Board)

Opening Day will be Saturday, April 28th, with a rain date of Sunday, April 29th.
Rich and Linda Lanza, owners of the Outback Steakhouse in Westborough, will be donating all food for the snack shack.
There was discussion regarding the Opening Day Program, which seems to be overlooked on Opening Day.  The Board discussed the possibility of having the program distributed before Opening Day.  Further discussion required.

Training   (Board)

The Board spent quite a bit of time discussing Training.  The discussion included training for coaches as well as players.  Possible training activities that were discussed are as follows:

1.      Coach’s clinic for Major and AAA coaches, possibly presented by Steve Santucci or Dirk Baker.

2.      Coach’s clinic for T-ball and AA coaches. (This was done for a couple of years in a row by Board members.  The training packet used is still intact and could certainly be used again.  This was done in the Houghton Gym on a Saturday morning.)

3.      Players’ clinics, such as Pitching Clinics, and outdoor clinics held for all players in the beginning of their seasons.  These may be run by Board members or by an outside group, such as a high school team.

Many different thoughts were discussed regarding training.

Other Business   (Board)

Joe Curtin did some investigative work regarding lights on the Major league field.
Bill Brassard offered to spearhead the project.
