Meeting Minutes
Members Present: Mike Glavin, Joe Curtin, Jan Gill, John Dwyer, Jim Santiago, Jeff Pingeton, Rick Maypother, Dave Despres, Matt Ellsworth, John Watkins, Bill Brassard, Vin Ruziak, Blake Dawson
Members Absent: Randy Olds, Bob Berry
Guests Present: Judy Janda, and Jess
Judy Janda attended the meeting to discuss Sterling Little League’s commitment to replace the swing set. She brought a magazine to show us some designs and we talked about prices and placement of the set. Judy and Joe Curtin are meeting at the West Sterling field this Thursday at 10:00 am to discuss further. More details to follow.
President’s Report (Mike G)
 | A $200 donation was made to the First Church. |
| We will pay for the painting of the shed. |
| Mike will be out of town from May 18 – 31st. Joe C. will assume responsibilities in his absence. |
Treasurer’s Report (John D)
| Registrations are wrapping up. We have a total of around 300. |
| Expenditures this month include $10,000 for uniforms/equipment and snack shack set up. |
| Sterling Little League remains in sound financial shape! |
Field’s Update (Rick M)
| Mound has been tapped down. |
| Shed door with lock has been set up. |
| We will be repairing the gates on the Major field, so that the field can be locked. |
| We are considering putting an additional batting cage on the AAA field. |
| AAA bleachers to be fenced in for about $700.00. |
Opening Day Recap (All)
| Everything went great! |
| The Outback made $1,953.00, snack shack made $800.00, and the raffle made $805.00 for a total of $3,558.00 |
Fundraising (Jan G)
| Home Run Derby is scheduled for May 19th. |
| Jan will make up the schedule and e-mail it to the board. |

Tournament Teams
| We will plan on having 2 Holden Major teams, 1 Holden minor team, and the 10 and under team. Further discussion will be held next meeting. |
Training (All)
| Steve Santucci will be coming to Sterling for pitching clinics from 9:00 – 10:00 am on Saturday mornings, beginning this Saturday. |
